Posted by The Bargain Hunter on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11:25 PM

Genting Highlands as seen from Awana Genting

Im not a big fan of traveling, so when my office is organizing the away day (team building) I had a second thought of going. So eventually, I went to Awana Genting with zero anticipation of excitement. Surprisingly, it was fun and an eye opener for me that team-building events are so important in closing the gap and awkwardness between colleagues for better work/inter-social communication

serene sightings

We had very pact activities that include treasure hunting, laser entrapment, jungle tracking, karaoke competition and abseiling for three days and I had a chance to go up all the way to the top of the resort (riding the unscary indoor roller-coaster). My team won the treasure hunting and me myself won the individual session 3's karaoke competition (singing my fave evergreen Paint My Love by MLTR) which bring an altogether RM130 cash vouchers from Jusco as the prizes! So, as soon as I reached the ground (KL of course!) I went straight to Jusco Maluri for a shopping spree (after 2 hours of sleeping and feeling dizzy of loosing quite an amount of blood from that 2-leeches-sucked bleeding while jungle tracking!)

suck while u can,leech!

Jusco is not my fave place to shop because of the limited choices so I have to struggle up a bit of finding a nice bargain for "branded" but I managed to pick up 4 nice items instead. A pleated white shirt from Padini worth RM49.50 (a nice 50% discount from RM99 ), another Padini item; a preppy layered-collar black t-shirt worth RM44.50 (from RM89, a nice 50% discount) and 2 50% discounted items from TZ Factory, a cool 2 tones blue checkered v-neck t-shirt worth RM12.50 (from RM25) and a brown outer-pocketed khakis pant worth RM29.50 (from RM59). A truly magnificent challenge well-done undertaken!

Tajuk Johor Tanjung Puteri
Selat Tebrau airnya biru
Di Pantai Lido tepian mandi
Sepanjang masa di hari minggu

Atas Bukit Tanjung Puteri
Taman hiburan indah berseri
Pemandangan menawan hati
Jalan tambak hubungan negri

Tanjung Skijang nun di kuala
Tempat nlayan mengail glama
Istana Hinggap di Kuala Danga
Pantai berkelah keluarga DiRaja

Dari Tebrau orang berakit
Singgah Stulang membeli kopi
Pusara Si Bongkok di lereng bukit
Di tepi pantai Tanjung Puteri

I went to Metrojaya's pre-stock take sale last week and I found these 2 Sisley bags with an almost 70% discount that I had to have those, thanks to the cardmembers' special day. I love the colour of the bags, some sort of not too shiny metallic green. Black Moschino Criss-Crossed Shirt

Posted by The Bargain Hunter on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 8:21 AM

At first, it was tagged with a 80% discount from an original price of RM1050 which means an affordable RM210 for a Moschino shirt. But as I was inspecting for any defects on the shirt, there was a noticeable mishaps at the neckline. It is very daring with the criss-crossed effects (but cant be seen here) but subtle with the help of black

Tips For Shopping Part Three: BE REALISTIC

Posted by The Bargain Hunter on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 9:21 AM

The most important aspect that you should keep on reminding yourself while shopping is definitely your own budget. Unless you were a gazillionaire, each of your spending should be carefully watched. No judgement but there are a lot of working-office-job-get-paid-later-on-monthly-people who likes to purchase one single thing for one big chunk of money and later on stucked with that item for the rest of their lives leaving a big sum of debt in their account (the most annoying some, keep on whining about it!) . This is something SERIOUS.

LV's coin purse? No no, it is a pure leather souvenir from Bangkok

As a hardcore shopper, I definitely looking for something that is affordable, down to earth kind of pricing because I UNDERSTAND THE LEVEL OF SPENDING THAT I NEED NOT TO CROSS OVER due to my 8.30-5.30 salary. Logically, again, unless you were a gazillionaire, what the heck are you going to do with a RM3,000 bag (an average price for designers') when you can diversify it to several warehouses' branded items and you can constantly doing your own shopping every week giving you a variety of looks plus a few hundreds more for nice dinners, coffee etc. Sorry guys, I have a every-week-must-have-at-least-one-new-item policy and I dont do the so called wish lists. That's why you never see any wishlists of designer items here. Of course if I have been given any choices, I want all my working shirts from Raoul, all my luggages from Louis Vuitton or all my shoes from Gucci but life is not some kind of a Lalaland. It's either you could afford buying something or not. Fashion is practical. You wear fashion. Not dreaming of something you couldnt afford it!

Another RM10 Google Shirt

Posted by The Bargain Hunter on at 8:36 AM

I love this black long sleeves Google shirt that I got from Jusco Maluri for only RM10. It has two pockets, front and backbones but you couldnt see it very clearly here (no wonder uber stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe is avoiding black because it doesnt look good in photos). It's very perfect for my working attire because I do not fancy buying expensive office outfits because they tend to look very formal so I opted for the cheap ones but of course from any decent labels

United Colors of Benetton "Batches" Sling Bags

I always interested in the look of uniforms including these black and brown military/scout inspired sling bags accessorised with batches. They are among others remarkable almost-70% discount items. The original price of these bags was RM229.90 but I purchased it for only RM80. In my opinion, purchasing accessories is better than garments because the value is higher

Grey Replay T-Shirt

Posted by The Bargain Hunter on at 9:21 AM

I dont think Replay can survive with their current over the top prices (the effect of pounds, of course!) but Parkson is having a clearance on selected brands including this grey t-shirt. The original price was at an astounding RM190 but I got it for only RM57, a cool 70% discount. I never had any of the Replays, so why not?

He has about 8 illustrated books under his belts and was once trained during his study by the late Antonio Lopez, arguably the last celebrity illustrator in the world. If you are interested to know more about his work, please email him at Davidstudio1@aol.com now. These illustrations are effortlessly stylish and chic for editorial magazines and publishings. I dont know where to put them so I simply make this exclusive token of appreciation thread. Thank you!
