I have a new profound respect for Jakarta, at least for their diversity of shopping places which suited with my bargain hunting-ness, from their warehouses to big discounted on big labels. Because the purchasing power is much greater there, there are like 10 KL's Pavilions in the city alone! I got the chance to visit the city during the year end holiday which paralleled with their year end sale for 5 days which was fabulous. The trip was strictly for malls hopping only and it was extensive but successfully accomplished. The city itself is not so bad at all and it is just the matter of the gap between the rich and poor is too big but very crowded too. It is as big as 3 KL combined together and with population over 8 million, it is the 12th largest city in the world.

Many thanks to the family of Abang H and Kak E for their generosity to let us stayed there and their hospitality while we were there. I will share my shopping experiences for the next new postings. Enjoy!
